VISITING STONEY LITTLETON LONG BARROW, Spring and Summer 2000
During the year 2000 Pete Glastonbury and Terence Meaden made several visits to this splendid long barrow in the ? valley in the eastern part of the Mendip Hills (ST 734572). On the first occasion (27 February) we met Brian, the last of the men who had been restoring the monument for many months was present. The restoration was done by Cliveden Conservation, Kilmersdon and Bracknell.
